Vortrag | REFUGEE RIGHTS BREAKING | Corner Jam Vol. 5
Termin
So. 4.
Everybody is welcome!"
Ort: Projektraum - Alte Salzstraße 59a, 04209 Leipzig

Corner Jam and Saman (Flowjob Crew) invite you to:
"This talk will focus on the experiences of the Flowjob Crew and friends with breaking projects involving kids and teens, both with and without refugee backgrounds.
In various projects in Magdeburg, Potsdam, and Berlin-Reinickendorf, experienced B-girls and B-boys have taught breaking at shared housing facilities and camps.
These projects gave rise to the Break Grenzen Crew and the Knochenbrecher Crew. Together, they’ve traveled all over the country: to jams, battles, workshops, and political demonstrations.
Fresh hip-hop action meets official accompaniment, battles against deportation authorities, and solidarity and unity within the scene.
Breaking is a shared language that doesn’t require knowledge of German, and it offers a sense of identity that transcends national borders.
This talk will focus on the challenges and solutions encountered in these projects.
What mistakes should you avoid repeating if you want to do similar work?
And which of our lessons can help you along the way?
How can we use our culture to combat racism and far-right hate?
And how can we use our culture to create a fresh culture of welcome?
The talk is open to all and presented in simple language. Everyone is welcome!"
Location: Projektraum - Alte Salzstraße 59a, 04209 Leipzig
